1. Who We Are

This website (https://episodenest.com, “Site”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Zhanjiang Yuanyi Media Technology Co., Ltd. We sell digital, downloadable short-drama script packages (the “Products”) worldwide. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

If you have any questions, contact us at yuanyimedia@outlook.com.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to process your order and operate the Site:

  • Account & checkout data: your name, email address, billing country/address, and (if you create an account) login credentials. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Order data: what you purchased, the amount paid, order date, and download history, so we can deliver Products and provide support.
  • Communications: messages you send us (e.g., support emails) and their metadata.
  • Technical & usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and interaction events, collected via cookies and analytics (see Section 6).

3. Why We Collect It

  • To create your account and process purchases, including fraud screening and tax calculation.
  • To deliver your downloadable Products and maintain your access to them.
  • To send transactional emails (order confirmation, download links, account/security notices).
  • To improve the Site, diagnose problems, and understand how visitors use it.
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax/accounting records).

We do not use your data for unrelated marketing unless you separately opt in.

4. Comments

If you leave a comment or product review, we collect the data shown in the form (name, email) plus your IP address and browser user-agent to help spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email may be provided to the Gravatar service to display your avatar.

5. Media

If you upload images to the Site (e.g., as an avatar), avoid uploading images with embedded location (EXIF GPS) data. Visitors can download and extract location data from such images.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember cart contents, remember your preferences, and measure traffic. These include:

  • Strictly necessary: session, cart, and authentication cookies (no consent required).
  • Analytics/performance: anonymous usage measurement (you can decline where the law requires).
  • Preference: language and display settings.

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may break checkout.

7. Embedded Content & Third-Party Services

Articles or product pages may embed content (e.g., videos, images) from third parties. Such content behaves as if you visited that site directly and may collect your data, use cookies, or track your interaction. We use the following service providers to run the store:

  • Payment processors (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, or other gateways enabled on the Site) — to take payment. They receive the billing details required to process your transaction.
  • Web hosting & infrastructure — to serve the Site and store data securely.
  • Email & analytics providers — to send transactional email and understand usage.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and only to the extent needed to perform its service.

8. Who We Share Your Data With

We share personal data only as needed to fulfill orders and legal duties:

  • Payment processors (transaction/billing data).
  • Shipping/tax/anti-fraud service providers (order data).
  • Authorities, where legally required.

We do not sell your personal data.

9. How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Orders & accounts: retained for the period required by tax and accounting law (commonly up to 7 years) or until you request deletion where the law permits.
  • Comments/reviews: kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them.
  • Analytics: aggregated/anonymized and retained per our analytics provider’s settings.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Port your data to another service.
  • Object / restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

EU/EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. California residents may request details about personal information shared and opt out of “sales” (we do not sell data). To exercise any right, email yuanyimedia@outlook.com. We respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 30 days).

11. Where Your Data Is Sent

Order and account data may be processed by our hosting and payment providers, which may be located outside your country of residence. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers (e.g., standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us to have it removed.
